Today, Mr. Ridenhour, Mrs. Feary, and Ms. Hicks walked the halls of Briggs School to pass out treats to our teachers and staff as a small token of appreciation for everything they do.

We loved seeing their smiling faces as they picked out unexpected treats from our snack cart! Thank you to all of our teachers and staff for everything you do for our school, day in and day out! We can’t say thank you enough!

An ambulance was at Briggs School today. We want to reassure everyone that the ambulance was not here for any of our students and that everything is okay. Thank you for caring about our school and community!

The Farmer's Market is coming to our school on Tuesday, September 29th! Our 3rd and 4th graders will receive $12.00 in veggie bucks which will alow them to purchase 4 bags of produce! This event is for our 3rd and 4th grade students only. No outside sales will be held on this day.

Reminder: There will be no Boys & Girls Club today (9/24) due to parent/teacher conferences. Parent/teacher conferences will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Picture Day! Thursday, September 24th

The Briggs Maidens softball team finished in the top 6 in ORES Division 1 State Tournament this past Saturday. The team was mainly 5th, 6th, & 7th graders and had only three 8th graders on the roster. Despite being a young team, they had a great season and showed a lot of growth & improvement this season. We are so proud of the team and their coaches! Great job Maidens!

Join the NSU Wind Ensemble as Dr. Malcolm Burke makes his onstage debut as NSU’s new Director of Bands. The repertoire for this performance includes some of the crown jewels of the band repertoire, such as Chance’s Variations on a Korean Folk Song and Holst’s Second Suite in F.

Softball games previously scheduled for today (9/11) at Zion have been canceled due to the weather.

Football news:
5th-8th Thursday, Sept. 10th: Briggs vs GrandView. The 5th/6th will start at 5:00 p.m. with the 7th/8th starting around 6:15 p.m. The game will be played at Keys High School.

Congratulations to our students who participated in the PACE Project Fashion Show! Our students showed off their talents by creating their own ribbon skirts, aprons and trade shirts. We are so proud of all of our students!

On Tuesday, September 1st, Briggs School had the opportunity to welcome D.J. Vanas to our school! D.J. encouraged our 5th - 8th grade students to face challenges with strength, determination and courage. We are grateful that he took the time to visit with our students and share his powerful message!
